Before embarking on his real estate and development career,  Andy was a two-time Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation grant recipient, traveling the world directing and producing the Emmy-nominated documentary feature film “The Day My God Died” about the scourge of human trafficking. He collaborated during this production with Witness, the human rights organization founded by musician/activist Peter Gabriel, and with The Reebok Foundation. Andy appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to promote the cause and and present clips from the film.

 

Dedicated to human rights issues, Andy sat on the board of both The High Road For Human Rights and The Daywalka Foundation. The main character in “The Day My God Died,” human-trafficking activist Anuradha Koirala, was recognized with the 2010 CNN Hero of the Year Award.
